Paul's On Times Square

We managed to get there at a good time on a Saturday and only had to wait 10 min for a table. We ordered fried ravioli and a 6 slice Margherita, as well as cocktails. The cocktails came out promptly, but after 30 min our appetizers still hadn't been served. A table that was seated after us got their appetizers shortly after they were sat, we were still waiting for ours. The place filled up quickly, and the kitchen and our waiter were clearly in the weeds. After being sat for about an hour, our waiter explained to his tables that the kitchen was behind and our pizzas would be out soon. The fried ravioli was served. They were good. Our pizza was served shortly after, and it was delicious, nice chewy crust, good sauce and cheese. The cocktails were very good, too.

Horrible reservation experience...people waiting in an anonymous line even with reservations, waiting an hour for their 'saved" table. BUT we were lucky to instead get seats at the bar and had WONDERFUL service, drinks and food. The chicken marsala was amazing, and the pasta with eggplant was also great. Our bartender was kind and thoughtful and worked hard to get us our drinks and food so we could get back to our bus. Thank you, sweet bartender lady!!! Them we left and FDNY had to pry doors open so we could get down the stairs since the elevator was out...but that's another story!

Food was fantastic. We had the recommended Pizza and lobster ravioli and shared the 2 entrees. One of the best pizzas I can remember- great choice. Excellent service and good drinks. Great location but you can’t see the street due to the arrangement of the tables and curtains. We enjoyed our dinner and just looking around Times Square. 20% was added to our bill (2 people) but about what I would have left anyway so no complaints.

Our daughter recommended we eat at Paul's & we're glad we did! The food was wonderful, the atmosphere amazing, & the service spectacular! Adis was our server & he was amazing. He was greeting & seating people, taking orders, delivering food & drinks. He's very efficient & friendly. But at the same time he made us feel relaxed & welcome.The gratuity was on the check, but I tipped him more. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely return.
