Breakneck Tavern

I think we were expecting a little more laid back hole in the wall environment. We were surprised when we were told they strongly encourage reservations on Friday early evening. But the environment was nice. Food options were good however some seemed to really try to impress, not quite my style but some may really like it. Prices were over than expected. But I guess if you need a reservation, then there are plenty willing to pay. Our waitress was great!

Looking online Breakneck looked good but can never tell until you get there.. Well it was excellent! The staff was very friendly but the food was incredible! I was debating between the chicken or the grilled salmon and I can say everything paired on the salmon just worked! Can't wait to try more on the menu!

Great place to get some really delicious seafood. I had their lobster mac and cheese. It was delicious, and it had more lobster than I was really expecting. I was sceptical about the peas in the dish, but they serve as a great excuse to eat more of the delicious sauce. I also had a Hibiscus Arnold Palmer mocktail. It was very tasty, but it's definitely more hibiscus than Arnold Palmer. The sauce that's served on the scallop appetizer, blue crab pasta, and possibly other dishes is truly fantastic. It's worth ordering one of those dishes just for the sauce. When you ask for a spicy Bloody Mary, you do actually get a reasonable amount of spice. The alcohol content is a bit high to enjoy the full flavor, but I'm sure that appeals to some people too. The service was great. Not overbearing, but our waitress said she's take care of us, and she definitely did. The atmosphere is good. It's not too filled with modern hipster-ish stuff, but there's enough there to keep the place interesting. Crowd sounds seem to be managed well. The bar was full, but we didn't notice them in the separate dining area at all.
