El Ranchero

We visited El Ranchero for the first time, based on the reviews. They did not disappoint! The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and we'll lit. We were greeted immediately by Ruben...who was also our waiter. He was very welcoming and knew the menu like the back of his hand. Very impressive. As for the food....it arrived on a timely manner, and piping hot! It had great flavor and presented well. The portion sizes are huge, and Chips & Salsa was included. Btw....the Salsa was very tasty as well. We'll definitely be going back! Quite honestly, El Ranchero has the best Mexican food in the Longview area. Truly.

Quality has gone way down at this restaurant. They charge a lot of money for some tacos, beans and rice. The least they could do is make fresh rice. Instead it was all hard and crunchy. When I tried to bring this situation to the attention of the waitress all she was did was fob me off with BS. She says, "Oh I checked in the kitchen and the rice is fine." BUTS ITS NOT FINE ON MY PLATE!!! I was a regular customer here. I came in once a week at least and they couldn't even resolve this simple matter. No comp, no reduced cost for the food I couldn't eat.. Just rude denials that the problem even existed. I was pretty shocked. Hours later I'm still picking rice out of my teeth. I'm never going back.

After a Long Day's work nothing's nicer than being able to go sit down at a nice restaurant for a good meal. Not exactly what I expected but they did a good job. The food was delicious the staff was friendly and the place was clean. We sat down enjoyed our food it wasn't very loud or overcrowded. All in all great place to grab some good Mexican food. The sampler was amazing.
