White Castle

12-22-2022 UPDATE: I am in shock and saddened that this iconic 50+ year old location is closing for good on Christmas Eve, two days away. I moved away from CMH back in June and I just happened upon an article about its closing while surfing the net. I have very many good memories from the Short North location, as they often saw me for my regular bacon, egg and cheese on toast sandwich. The restaurant was so nice inside and the staff was always very kind and accommodating, even when severely short staffed at times. I wish everyone who worked there over the years all of the success that they deserve. RIP White Castle- Short North— sliding into Columbus history one last time. ❤️ Can't say enough about how much this location has improved itself. The staff is friendly and efficient and the older lady who is often making your food is beyond good at her job and should be emulated everywhere. This location is HUGE. It's spacious and airy and clean. What sets this apart from all of the other locations is that this White Castle actually serves beer... Yes... Alcohol at a fast food restaurant! You can also now order breakfast ALL DAY and get smoothies and other concoctions at this location. As this is White Castle's flagship store (headquarters are here in Columbus), they have done an amazing job at the renovation of this old building and creating a bright, safe and pleasant location to get your Slider on! 😜 Tip #1: if you need to use the "facilities", you MUST purchase something. The bathroom door lock code will be printed at the bottom of your receipt. Tip #2: the drive thru entrance is through the parking garage on the side of the building. Check it out, it's like SUPER cool that they managed to put a drive through in a PARKING GARAGE?! Lol

This was a late night stop after work. I was in the drive thru on a Friday night , so the line did not move as fast as I thought it would but the staff remained friendly and upbeat the whole time. One reason I stopped is because this is a new WC and it looks like a 4 or 5 star fast food establishment. The drive thru is in the rear and goes thru a garage. It was a very good experience.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and wasn’t disappointed. This White Castle is the best I’ve ever been to. Extremely clean, staff was nice and the food was done in no time. We had a large order and it was on point. If I’m in the area I’ll definitely come back to visit! This staff needs a raise and other stores need to look upto this one as an example!
