The sabji which came with poori was the same which they use of masala dosa. I was expecting spiced up aloo sabji with that. But the masala dosa itself was good. We were in JBR for a walk and felt little Hungry.. since it was breakfast time and we only thought about Saarangaa Bhojanshala.. Dip Sambhar Vada was too delicious.. with onion it gaves very different level taste.. my Hubby is fan of their Dip sambhar vada..Their mini tiffin is something i can eat anyday.. dosa was super crunchy, idlis were so soft and fresh... When I think of dosa, I think of Saaranga Bhojan Shaala. Their food has been consistently good, arrives in no time and satiates my hunger for all things south indian food. My favourite is miny tiffin, a potpourri of all morning breakfast staples. I have tried stocking on to their vadas and they taste surprisingly good the next day as well, when we savour them with some home made filter coffee. We also love their lunch thali, so we insist that you try- the taste and variety would leave you extremely happy and satisfied. I have been ordering from their kitchen for years now, and grateful to them for turning around that flavourful food. And no words for their extremely courteous staff. Full marks for being so GOOD.

I rarely give a poor rating for a restaurant as I understand what goes behind a successful restaurant, but this one I had to give for the very poor customer service. Despite ordering the food with "Saathesh Babu" who certainly had difficulty sporting a smile, it took close to 20 mins even for a simple idly&vada plate to be served and despite reminding him 2 times. What really irked us was a table opposite to us was served "without" Guests having arrived on the table. Yes, you read this right..the guests had not arrived into the restaurant at all, but their table (4 seats) were fully served and one of the plates was even covered from the housefly whereas the rest of the 3 plates were left open for the housefly to have a treat. <br/><br/>Our table was attended to after that. I just cannot understand this kind of service. When guests have arrived and waiting for the food and not attended to, they were happily serving someone who has not even turned up (could be regulars who know the service level and hence would have ordered the food even before they arrived). But was really upset us what the dareness in which they served the table in front of us but made us wait for a long time. When quizzed about this the server was struggling to answer and had a simple answer in Tamil "please don't ask me about this", which said it all!<br/><br/>Well, I had my last visit to this restaurant today!..but just this branch of their's but any of their branches in UAE!.... Not just for their poor service, but for the quality of food and the price you pay!...Dubai has much better south Indian restaurants!

I really love this place. The variety is great though I have tried primarily the South Indian dishes - the dosa, idlis, vada, kesar, pongal and paneer 65. The South Indian dishes are great in taste and not at all heavy on your wallet. The restaurant is clean and minimalistic. Never expected to find such a good and inexpensive place in the Marina.<br/>Giving a 4 star as I have tasted better paneer 65 and have had better filter coffee.

One of the most pathetic experience ordering food from Saranga Bhojan Shala. I ordered my breakfast at 11:04 am and my delivery place is in Marina Plaza and it hardly takes like 20 minutes from the restaurant to deliver the food. Come 12:10 pm still no news and i call up the restaurant and they have no clue what so ever whats happening and they said "Sir its already gone from restaurant" and dont even have the courtesy to follow up were exactly the order has been reached. Anyways i waited again and its apparently crossed 1 hour and 30 minutes and still no news. THANKS TO SARANGA BHOJAN SHALA that i could neither have my breakfast and left starving and i will have to wait another 30 minutes to 45 minutes for the other restaurant to deliver the food for me.<br/><br/>You have not only lost a loyal customer like me but people who use to order from my office will also stop ordering with you guys with today's shabby experience!!!!!!!<br/><br/>VERY VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER !!!!!

Good quality food and hygienic. The Staffs are very friendly and provide a homely feel. Chana Battura is my favourite, its huge and easily shareable if not that hungry. And on weekends they serve Paneer Dosa, its also another item we order repeatedly. Their Gobi Manchurian dry and gravy and gobi 65 is crispy and tastes indo chinese, just the way I like it. In the mornings, for breakfast we sometimes have ghee roast masala dosa, its huge and filling too. Another breakfast item that I love is Mini Tiffin. You should also try their Kesari and hot Masala Milk (Hot version of masala milk available only in the evenings, also Batura).

Although dis place serves good food but delivery is pathetic , in fact i would say packaging is pathetic 😡 i ordered 1 plate idli and sambhar and 1 plate medu vada and sambhar . To my surprise they delivered only 1 bowl of sambhar and wen i enquired about the same they said that they deliver only 1 bowl sambhar with both. It is 250 ml vessel which was only 60 percent full . So u cannot dip n eat it to satisfy your hunger. So i will never recommend to order from this place they do not pack a decent portion size. This place is a big no for delivery.

This place is amazing. Me and my boyfriend found this gem unexpectedly in Marina which is located behind Rakbank. The restaurant is quite big and clean and they do have outside seating which is advisable on winter time. They do serve decent Indian Cuisine with variety of selection in their menu. <br/><br/>We are still on our 3 favorite food with this restaurant and we personally recommend them - Daal Fry,Mushroom Manchurian and any of their rice selection with Naan. We've been coming to the place every now and then because of the food and value of money. Also, we've been taking our visitors to this place since it doesn't fail to amaze us. I highly commend the staffs too as they're quite giving us an excellent service and recognition.

Was hesitating to go here at first but I must say this place serves really good Indian food.<br/>Roti, dal Tadka and the Jalfrezi was delicious.<br/>The only concern is that they take a lot of time to prepare the dish and the service is also slow.<br/>Management must work on that. Except this, the food was great.<br/>Must try for some good Indian stuff.

If you want a good cup pf filter coffee - go here<br/>If you want a good Dosa (they are huge) = go here <br/><br/>Their fixed lunch menu is worth a try as well<br/><br/>If you want great service - you may want to pass the offer! these guys are busy so I can see why they are not that great with service - the food seems to do the talking and is a huge hit with the Indian diaspora at large<br/><br/>There is a huge disconnect between the people who take calls on the numbers provided and the staff at the restaurant, so call only to fix your seats.

We come here almost every Tuesday - we love this place! It never fails to disappoint. The service is also excellent - the servers always try their best to fulfill what you need. Don't get me started on the food - this is the main reason why we keep coming back - no matter what, the food tastes so authentic! You can really taste the blend of spices and we love literally EVERYTHING on their menu. We especially recommend their thali (special meal, limited meal, mini meal), mini tiffin, and paneer jalfrazi. Their chapati is also well made, it is actually my favorite in the whole of Dubai. Don't forget to try their mango lassi as well :) highly recommended restaurant!

When in mood to have a nice South Indian spread for breakfast, brunch or dinner, this is a place to keep in mind. the food is awesome with piping hot coffee, crisp dosas,, soft idlis soaked in flavourful sambhar. And if the weather is as good as it now, seating outside makes it even better. <br/><br/>Would mention that try their specialty, since didn't like the smothies and juices much.

One of the worst South Indian restaurants I have visited in Dubai. I ordered the mini tiffin this morning and it was a complete scam. The chutney was adulterated and the idli was sour. The staff was not ready to accept this fact and kept arguing that everything was as per standard. Worst breakfast ever!!

Wanted to have good South Indian food but it turned out to be totally a disaster !!!!<br/>Dosas were all soggy !!!<br/>Dahi vada too thick <br/>The onion rava had atleast 15 black peppers . <br/>The onion outer peel was there in the Sambhar . <br/>Service — 3/5<br/>Food —1/5<br/>Quality - 1.5/5 <br/>Won’t recommend this place !!! <br/>A disappointment to come here

I have been ordering from SBS for almost an year and never has been disappointed. Excellent service, great taste and fine for eating everyday food. Slightly spicy though.

Don’t believe these guys , order placed at 4:30 pm , promised 45 min delivery . At 6:30pm , the delivery boy came, had to reject it because all the guests already left. They kept on lying over phone that the delivery boy has left before 5:30 , but the truth was that delivery boy left only at 6pm. Will never order from them again.

Like their other outlets in town, food here is fresh, tasty and served with love. The servers are focused on making it a great gastronomic experience for you and even before you finish extra Sambar, Chutney will be on the table. A big thumbs up to the team....it take a lot of commitment to create a place where customers keep coming back for more. <br/>PS- street parking can be a problem at times. Call the restaurant to find out about their reserve parking in the building

Superb!!! I am really a big fan of this place. I visit atleast once a week. Filter coffees are out of the world. A Must try! Their Idli and chutneys are super yummy...their dosa is crisp if requested and ofcourse service! they know exactly what i wanna eat....they have a server.. 'Raghu Uncle' and smiling at everyone. keep it up and thank you for giving us the best idli sambar and chutney every week!! Specially if your lucky, you are served the green chutney which is exceptional!! Lastly...the price! not more than 30-50 AED for 2.

Nice food, good ambience and excellent staff. Should try the ghee roast and appam. Rava dosa which i had once was not upto the mark. Nice dine in experience particularly in Marina where there s no pure veggie restaurants available.

This one’s a decent South Indian restaurant for veg food. I do go here sometimes when I crave for veg South Indian food. It ain’t that expensive either. My personal recommendations would be - Puri Masala, Plain Dosa, Idly and Mini Idly. Having said this, I won’t though recommend the Chinese starters and main course here. I tried manchurian and schezwan noodles. I didn’t quite like it.

They do offer a smaller portion size for most of the dishes but everything is fresh and yummy. Try mini south indian meal, masala milk, pistachio shake. I tried a bunch of things and none of them have disappointed yet 😊

For South Indian food in Marina this is the best. They also have a variety of North Indian and Indo Chinese dishes. Unless you want to drive 30km to bur dubai this is the place to go.
Their Idili could be softer I found them a bit hard.
They have a great collection of Juices.
Good pricing considering it's in Marina.

Apart from South Indian food, everything else seems a little overpriced. So it's better to check from the menu before ordering anything, otherwise you'll be a little surprised when the cheque arrives.
However, the quality of food is very good. The portion size is huge.

This is a pure vegetarian gem in Dubai Marina area for south Indian food which serves north Indian cuisine as well.Tried the mandatory, Masala Dosa which was very delicious. Potatoes inside were authentic in taste with a strong flavor or cury leaves, mustard seeds and spices. Chutneys served with it were equally good specially the red chutney and the cocunut chutney.We had Aloo parantha which were surprisingly very tasty and served with pickle.Idlis are super soft and served with tasty sambhar and chutneys. They also have some special dishes of the day everyday and we tried vegetable fried rice served with an onion cucumber raita. Not up to the mark, not worth to try it here.Overall this place is the to go place for south Indian food and we usually visit this place on weekends.<br/>My Overall rating: 4
